798 Art district and Olympic Park
It’s been a long time since I made a post on the blog. Last weekend we took Oscar out a few times and he loved it!
When we are at home he fusses so much but as soon as we open the door to go outside – he’s all smiles. I think it’s so important to take babies out in the open and not keep them indoors.
Look at his smiles!
I’ve been to the Olympic Park many times before but this was the first time we went there properly with Oscar. For those of you with children, you’ll understand how much hassle it can be to rely on public transportation in a big city with a baby..
The whole time we were out he didn’t want to lean back and rest in his pushchair. He wanted to lean as far forward as possible and check out the flowers, the sky and the people. So curious!
I think this weekend was the first time he’d prodded and poked branches and leaves. The excitement in his face was just so pure. I can imagine how he felt. He just couldn’t stop smiling and looking around.
We also took him to a little park within our housing community. This ‘park’ is so small and there is nowhere for kids to play, not even any grass. It does get maintained though and ‘seasonal’ flowers are planted so out of the dry soil there are some random flowers to look at. When Oscar is a little bigger, I think we’ll have to move somewhere that has lots of space for him to run around. He’s just so strong right now, I’m sure he’s going to love running around.

I do really enjoy this art district! This time of course was the first time I came here with the baby, but he was well behaved and seemed to also enjoy it. What do you think? Have you ever been to the art district in Beijing?
Well, that’s all for now! I honestly planned to post this sooner but it took me about a week in the end. Oscar has taken over my life and there is just nothing I can do about it lol. Everything will be delayed!!
