Today I tried and failed to fix our toilet.

Bought all the parts from Amazon, took out all the old parts from the old leaky toilet and put the new bits all together in the toilet.

That old toilet put up a fight. So many parts that hadn’t been touched in so long they were difficult to unscrew. About 3 hours later… I finally managed to get the toilet back into what looked like working order.

Seemed like everything was working. Until the water was turned back on and then drip, drip, drip – every wannabe-plumber’s worst nightmare!

Lesson learned.

Next time, don’t try and be the handyman. Leave it to the experts! 👨‍🔧
