What advice would you give to your teenage self?
Don’t listen to anyone who hasn’t done the thing you’re asking them about. Don’t care about what other people say about you.
There are too many things I’d tell my younger self. Most of them revolve around listening to other people and their stupid ideas or advice!
Another thing I’d tell myself is to save some money. Imagine if I’d saved £100 a month for all those years and left it generating interest for the whole time. A Tesla or a house deposit would be no problem whatsoever 😄.
I’d tell myself not to worry about fashion, or following trends that amount to nothing. I’d tell myself not to worry about losing friends who end up not being meaningful anyway. Move on, make new friends, make as many new friends as possible.
I’d love to be able to go back in time and tell myself some of these things. I even think about how I’d like to guide my own children, but I know it doesn’t work like that. They need to go and make the same mistakes by themselves. I’ll just be there to speed up the recovery process and tell them to get on with the next thing.
Life.
