What is the biggest challenge you will face in the next six months?

We plan to move house within the next 6 months. I’ve moved a bit in the past, over the last 10 years I probably average one place every 2 years.

But this time it’s different.

The main issue won’t be the physical moving and heavy lifting. It won’t be the stress of signing papers and sending in proof of everything. It won’t even be finding the right place.

The most difficult thing will be telling Oscar he’s going to have to change schools.

Oscar absolutely LOVES school! All he does at home is write, read, test anyone who will listen and the same again.

He loves his friends and his teachers too.

I remember when I was younger and the biggest disruption to my life was moving schools. It was horrible. Back then, I thought it was the worst thing that ever happened to me.

So I’m a little worried that Oscar might be affected by this move quite a bit. He’s very social and very smart, so I’m hoping even if there is some disruption, it won’t affect him too badly.

Below is one of his latest creations. So just imagine all day every day something like this, but sometimes it’s stories in English, sometimes it’s Chinese flash cards, sometimes it’s maths questions and patterns. It never ends.

The last pic of a dog was done by Hillary but all the rest was Oscar. Some crazy words and spelling mistakes but hey he’s 5 years old.

Anyway, hopefully he doesn’t find this move too hard.

This will probably be my biggest challenge in the next six months. I know there are people out there with real challenges, so what are yours?
