We’re enjoying a family holiday at Devon Cliffs, and I had every intention of squeezing in a few runs while we’re here. Running along the Devon coastline with those sea views sounds pretty good, doesn’t it?

Well, Storm Austen had other ideas! 🌧️

The wind and rain have been pretty relentless. I know there are runners out there who wouldn’t think twice about going out in this weather — and fair play to them — but I’m definitely not one of them! 😂

These photos don’t quite do it justice. It’s been considerably worse than it looks!

I’m all for staying active, but sometimes it’s fine to give yourself a break, especially when you’re supposed to be enjoying a holiday. I’ve made a quick YouTube Short about my decision to stay indoors:

What about you? Would you brave the wind and rain for a run, or would you stay inside with a hot cup of coffee? ☕ Let me know in the comments.
